The question has come up and as I've thought about it in terms for my daughter and other family and friends. I thought that I would address it from my perspective(man, brother, father, uncle, husband 20 years). The question was are all men jerks? Probably a rhetorical question but my answer is yes except for one. The one taught and led others to teach very important lessons on how not to be. How ever it seems some feel that those teachings make you a door mat, push over, and some how emasculine. Some of these teachings include treating others the way you would want to be treated, to love your wife the way the Christ loves the church, to forgive, and not judge among many others. I will never be perfect at any of them but desire to try even if it means appearing to be a push over, a floor mat, or even emasculine. So ladies, (daughter, family, & friends) if you can find a man that values those teachings, you've found one willing to be less of a jerk and worth your effort. I've found my special someone that puts up with the jerk that I am. I hope and pray for you that this helps you find the least of a jerk as possible or better understand and put up with the jerk you have.
